The Cleveland Browns have one of the most unusual histories in the NFL.  Founded in 1945 by businessman Arthur B. McBride and legendary head coach Paul Brown, the team won nine championships (though no Super Bowls) over the next 50 years, before then-owner Art Modell decided to ship the team off to Baltimore.  But the people of Cleveland wouldn't let that happen, and after threats of legal action, struck a deal to retain the Browns' intellectual property rights.  After three inactive seasons, the team was reinstated under new ownership in 1999, and they've been the pride of the Forrest City ever since.
